This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the service and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

In order to register an account and continue using our services, you must agree to these terms.

What data do we collect?

Perfice collects usage data by default, such as when you visit the web application or use the mobile application. This is in the form of the IP address, browser type, device version and other device identifiers that your device automatically sends to our servers.

If you enable synchronization, all data you create within the app (trackables, journal entries, form values, etc) will be stored with end-to-end encryption on our servers.

If you enable third-party integrations, the data points that you decide to synchronize will be stored temporarily on our servers before being downloaded to your local device.

If you use the Android Health Connect integration, the following data may be automatically retrieved (based on how you configure the integration):

Exercise data
Sleep data
Steps data
Nutrition data
Heart rate data
Blood glucose data
Blood pressure data
Calories burned data
Hydration data
Height & weight data

Note that if you do not have synchronization enabled, this data will stay solely on your device.

How do we collect your data?

We collect the data mainly from you, when you input it in our applications.

Usage data is collected automatically when the browser/mobile app sends requests to our servers.

In response to legal requests

We may preserve or disclose any information about you to comply with a law, regulation or governmental request.

In business transfers

We may restructure, reorganize, sell or transfer our assets to another entity, in which your personal data is included in the assets transferred.

How do we store your data?

Data is primarily stored locally on your device, by the persistent storage capabilities of your device.

We use cookies (a small file placed on your device) and other persistent storage capabilities in your browser/mobile application to facilitate the service.

Synchronized data and third-party integration data is stored on our servers, hosted by MongoDB Atlas.

Synchronized data uses end-to-end AES-GCM encryption based on a password that you choose during setup.

Usage of data

We do not use your data for any marketing or personalization purposes. It is solely used to provide the service to you.

What are your data protection rights?

You have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

The right to access the personal information we hold about you.
The right to request the correction or deletion of your personal information.
The right to restrict or object to the processing of your personal information.
The right to data portability, allowing you to obtain and reuse your personal information for your own purposes across different services.

If you wish to export or delete your data, you can do so in the Settings section of both web and mobile application.

Changes to our privacy policy

We may update our privacy from time to time to reflect changes in practices, technologies or other factors. We will always update the "Last updated" date at the top of the policy.

When we update our privacy policy, we will notify you in advance through the email address you provided with us.
